OzzBooks terms of service
Last updated: October 28, 2026
These terms cover your use of the OzzBooks app and its account service, provided by OzzWorks. By creating an account or using the app you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use OzzBooks.
What OzzBooks is
OzzBooks is a player and reader. It does not provide, sell or host books. You connect storage you already have, such as a WebDAV server, a Google Drive folder or a folder in the Files app, and OzzBooks plays and reads what is there. The account service stores your reading and listening progress, bookmarks, shelves and source list so they follow you between devices. How your information is handled is described in the privacy policy.
Your account
- Give a real email address and keep your sign-in details private. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- Account creation may need an invitation code. Don't share a code or an account with people it wasn't meant for.
- You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings, Account, Delete Account) or by email.
Your books and sources
- Use OzzBooks only with books and files you have the right to listen to or read.
- You are responsible for your own storage, its passwords and the content on it. Don't connect storage that belongs to someone else without their permission.
- If you connect Google Drive, you give OzzBooks read-only access to the files you choose, as described in the privacy policy. You can disconnect at any time.
Fair use of the service
Don't attack, overload or try to break into the account service, don't use it to harm others or break the law, and don't try to read other people's data. We may limit or suspend accounts that do.
Changes and ending access
OzzBooks is a small independent project. Features may change, and the service may be changed, paused or ended; if that happens we will give notice in the app or by email where we reasonably can. We may suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms. You can stop using OzzBooks whenever you like.
No warranty and limits of liability
OzzBooks and the account service are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We don't promise they will always work, be error-free or keep your data forever, so keep your own copies of anything important. To the extent the law allows, OzzWorks and its owner are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses from a service outage, a lost book or a lost reading position. Nothing here limits rights you have under the law that can't be waived.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the date at the top changes. For material changes we will tell account holders before they take effect. Continuing to use OzzBooks afterwards means you accept the new terms.
